CHOOSE LIFE Church has gone Online for the lockdown period,
but we are still here for you.

CHOOSE LIFE Church Staying in touch

President Ramaphosa recently announced that churches may resume with no more than 50 people in attendance.
This came into effective on 1 June 2020 and is subject to numerous stringent conditions.

We are pleased that the President granted this concession as we believe it will allow many smaller churches to begin operating once again. Especially those who are not well equipped technologically and do not have the means of  streaming.

Nevertheless, after careful consideration we feel it will not be practical nor wise for CHOOSE LIFE to open its doors at this stage. We are a large congregation with over 3600 members and 750 children

We realise that some members would be abundantly eager to be counted among the 50, but that would result in only a few being satisfied and scores of others being disappointed. Furthermore, we do not want to expose people unnecessarily.

Also, some of the precautions stipulated by government include rigorous screening, no physical contact, no socializing (i.e. no coffee time), wearing of masks for the duration of the service, etc. Therefore, it would be difficult to open up to the broader congregation and church would probably not 'feel' the same.

Having said that we are glad that the President's decision will now allow us to stream our services LIVE from the auditorium on Sundays! We will no longer need to pre-record during the week but will broadcast LIVE to you, which we believe is best. During the services only a few people will be present including the worship team, technical team, a few staff and leaders.

Whereas we had hoped that Life Groups would be permitted to meet under Lockdown Level 3 it appears that this is not possible because church gatherings are only permitted in recognized places of worship.

We continue to trust God to work things out and cause His church to come back stronger!

Psalm 3:3But thou, O LORD, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head.

Let's stay in faith and keep our eyes upon the Lord.

Love in Christ,
