Mission Impossible

How do you respond when someone says, "That's impossible"?

What happens to you when someone says, "No way! You can't do it. It's impossible!"?
a. Wipe my sweaty palms on my jeans and quickly agree.

b. The hair on the back of my neck bristles and I reply, "Oh yes, I can. Just watch and see."

c. I look for excuses not to try so that I will not look too silly.

d. In my mind, I immediately start formulating a plan ...

Topic: Keys of the Kingdom
Peter Confesses Jesus as the Christ
13 When Jesus came into the region of Caesarea Philippi, He asked His disciples, saying, “ Who do men say that I, the Son of Man, am?”
14 So they said, “Some say John the Baptist, some Elijah, and others Jeremiah or one of the prophets.”
15 He said to them, “ But who do you say that I am?”
16 Simon Peter answered and said, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”
17 Jesus answered and said to him, “ Blessed are you, Simon Bar- Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father who is in heaven.
18 And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it.
19 And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.”

Theme scripture: Matthew 16: 13-19

What does Jesus mean by “the keys of the Kingdom”? He did not say, “keys to the Kingdom.” If you have the key to a hotel you could get into reception, but not into any of the rooms. If you have the keys of the hotel, you could unlock every room in the building.

1.What qualifies us for the keys of the kingdom?
2.For what purpose have we been given the authority to bind and loose? What are we to bind and loose?  The Kingdom of God has already come: Read Luke 17:20
3.What does Luke 17:20 mean in the context of Matthew 17:13-19? (It means the Kingdom of God for which we as believers have the keys of is not something we are waiting for it is here right now within us!!)
4.Keeping all we have discussed thus far in mind how do we apply the principal of binding and loosing to our lives today?
5.Knowing you have the full weight of the Kingdom in your favour how does it inspire you to conquer, overcome and stand against the challenges we face?

Kind Regards
