Dear Leader,

Kingdom Influence - A Kingdom at War

Ice Breaker
Share with the group a promise God has given you that you are holding on to!

Intro
2 Corinthians 10:3-4 clearly indicates that we are fighting a spiritual war and not a fleshly war.
Discuss for a few moments why we seem to live in a world at war with itself on so many fronts when the battle is in the spirit realm.
The real enemy is Satan. It is easy to get distracted and find ourselves fighting against earthly systems, political institutions or other religions.
But God calls us to wage a war in the spirit realm.

Scripture Readings
Ask different Life Group members to read the following scriptures. Let's ponder on each verse and allow the Word of God to transform our thinking and approach to life.
2 Corinthians 10:3-4
2 Timothy 2:3-4
Ephesians 6:10-18

Discussion
Do you see yourself as a solder in God's army, and what role do you believe you are called to fulfil?
How have we been equipped to serve in God's army? What armour and what weapons do we have?
Our victory is described for us in 2 Timothy 2:10, confirmed by the Great Commission in Matthew 28:18-20 and Acts 1:7-8. We have been sent into the world to help others come to salvation through Jesus Christ? What can we as a Life Group do to fulfil the great commission in our community? Try identify practical things and commit to an outreach project for the term. God is sounding the trumpet to gather His army for battle. What actions are you taking to answer His call?

Group Prayer
Spend some time as a group praying into this topic and doing some Spiritual warfare.

Closing Prayer
Lord, help us to maintain perspective and not be distracted from the mission you have called us to. Let us recognize that the battle is spiritual and not carnal. Let us not be entangled by the affairs of this world so we may be counted as good soldiers of Jesus Christ - 2 Timothy 2:3-4

Kind Regards
